The work we take on

If it smokes, drafts
or burns, we do it.

Chimney sweeping to a full masonry rebuild, one crew carries the whole job. No handing you off, no second contractor, no doing it over.

Chimney Sweep & Cleaning

A proper chimney cleaning: creosote brushed out of the flue, the draft back to full pull, and every speck of soot hauled off in our truck.

Chimney Inspection

A free camera inspection of the whole flue, and we tell you what we see in plain words. No pitch, no bill. That is the whole deal.

Chimney Repair

Cracked brick, leaks, spalling masonry, a stack that leans. We repair what is actually broken and quote it square before we touch a thing.

Chimney Liners & Relining

A stainless steel chimney liner brings a worn-out flue back to work. The smoke goes up, the heat stays in, and you quit worrying about it.

Chimney Cap Install & Repair

The right chimney cap, sized to your flue and bolted down for our wind. Rain, leaves and critters can find somewhere else to go.

Chimney Crown Repair

The crown catches every freeze and thaw we get up here. We rebuild that concrete lid and seal it so the water finally loses.

Gas Fireplace Inserts

Heat at the flip of a switch, no wood pile, no ash pan. We size the gas insert to your firebox and set it in right.

See the details

Tuckpointing & Brick Repair

We grind out the dead mortar and pack fresh joints by hand. Your brick stays put and the water stays out of the masonry.

Firebox Repair

No brick in your house works harder than the firebox. We swap the cracked firebrick and repoint the joints so it holds.

Fireplace Repair & Install

Gas, wood or electric fireplaces. Tune-ups, honest repairs and full installs, and we do not come back twice for the same problem.

Dryer Vent Cleaning

We pull the lint out of the whole vent line, not just the trap. One cycle dries the towels and the fire hazard goes with it.

Chimney Animal Removal

Whatever moved into your flue leaves alive and unhurt. Then we cap it and close the front door behind it for good.

Do you clean up after yourselves?
Every time. Drop cloths go down before a single tool comes out, the vacuum runs the whole job, and the soot leaves in our truck, not your trash can. If you can tell we were in the living room, we did something wrong.
What happens if you find a problem up there?
We come down, show you the photos, and explain it in plain words. Then you get one written price and all the time you want to think it over. Nothing gets fixed until you say go, and we will tell you flat out if a thing can wait a year.
Can I just grab a cap at the hardware store and screw it on?
You can, and sometimes that is honestly fine. The catch is sizing and our wind. A cap that does not match the flue chokes the draft, and a cap that is not anchored right ends up in the neighbor's yard by February. If the store shelf has what your chimney needs, we will say so.
Do I need to be home while you work?
If the whole job is on the roof, no. Leave for work, we will text you photos of what we did. If we need the firebox or the damper, we ask that somebody be around to let us in. Either way we call before we roll up, not after.
Why does the house smell like smoke when nothing is burning?
Usually that is creosote in the flue getting damp, or outside air sliding down the chimney and carrying the old smell with it. It is your chimney telling you something. A sweep clears the smell in most houses, and if it does not, the flue is trying to say something bigger.
My place is one of the older ones around here. Is that a problem?
Not to us. A lot of the housing stock on this side of the metro has been standing since before most of us were born, and old masonry just needs an honest read: what is original and fine, what is tired, and what actually needs money spent on it. We will sort your chimney into those three piles and go from there.
Whoever swept it last said everything was fine. Why get it looked at again?
Maybe it still is fine, and if so, that is exactly what we will tell you. But a chimney lives outside through every storm, freeze and windy night, so last year's answer is not this year's answer. Our look costs nothing, so the worst case is a free second opinion that agrees with the first.
How often should a chimney be swept around here?
The national standard, NFPA 211, calls for a chimney inspection once a year, and a sweep whenever the creosote says so. Burn most winter nights and your flue will likely want cleaning every season. Burn a dozen fires a year and it may go longer. The free camera look settles it either way, so nobody pays for a sweep they did not need.
What does chimney sweeping cost in Thornton?
It depends on the flue, the buildup, and what the camera finds, which is exactly why the look comes first and costs nothing. After that you get one written price for the work your chimney actually needs, and that number holds. What we will not do is quote a teaser rate on the phone and grow it on your roof.
My chimney leaks when it rains. Roofer problem or chimney problem?
Nine times out of ten it is the chimney: a cracked crown, tired flashing, a missing cap, or brick that has started drinking water. We chase the leak to its actual source and fix that, and we will say so plainly if the tenth case is yours and a roofer should take it from there.

“A safe flue, a fire that draws and no surprises on the bill. That is the whole business plan.”

Why folks keep our number

Old rail-stop rules,
still in force.

Before Thornton swallowed it up, Eastlake was a little depot town where your word was the contract. We run the company on those rules: deal straight, finish what you start, and never shave a corner off safety.

You get us, not a call center

The name comes from the old Eastlake district and the trucks park in Thornton. Call, and one of us answers.

We keep our chops sharp

Codes change, appliances change. We put real hours into staying current so your job is done to today's standard.

Your floors stay clean

Drop cloths first, vacuum running the whole time, camera on the flue. The only thing we leave is a safer chimney.

The price is the price

One written number before we start. No fine print, no fear stories, no funny business at the invoice.

Roll the tape

See it done, not just described.

Sweeps, fixes and installs on actual Colorado rooftops, camera rolling the whole way through.

You can't exactly climb up and watch us work, so we bring the camera and film it for you. These clips are the job, warts and all. What you see here is what happens at your place. Nothing extra, nothing padded.

- The Eastlake Chimney crew

If a part is not good enough for our own houses, it has no business on yours. If the cheaper cap does the job, the cheaper cap is what we quote. We would rather hear from you again in ten years than take you once and never see you back.

Off the truck shelves

The hardware we'd
put on our own house.

Caps, liners, inserts, dampers, fans. If it's here, it has survived a Colorado winter on somebody's roof already. Tell us your setup and you get one number: the part plus the install.

There's a good 20-some more caps, vents, liners & inserts where these came from. Tell us your flue and we'll match it.
